From the movie, one of the common symptoms of ASD is the lack of social communication of children persistent limited social interaction. Secondly, children suffering from ASD tend to have restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and lack of interest in engaging in activities that some children love. Finally, the children suffering from ASD get quickly upset when their routine activities are disrupted (Lauritsen, 2013). Seeing a person suffering from the ASD helped me to understand the disorder better since it helped to learn about the causes of the disorder and the modes of treatment available for the children. Additionally, the movie helped me to understand how to detect the disorder, offer care to people suffering from the disorder and deal with it.My thoughts about t he ASD as I watched the movie is that the society should be educated about the disorder so that parents, guardians and teacher can detect the disorder in their children and offer treatment against it and alleviate suffering from their children. Furthermore, I also realized that there are some people in the society that suffer from the disorder that the society does not know of and hence suffer in silence (Heward, 1996).
